São Paulo Brazil TIC EIXO NORTE Project

The São Paulo Intercity Railway North Axis Project is the core infrastructure under São Paulo State’s transportation modernization strategy. With a total length of 101 kilometers and a maximum operating speed of 140 km/h, the route is divided into three sections: the Intercity Railway (TIC), the Intermunicipal Railway (TIM), and São Paulo Metro Line 7. Together they form a multi-level rail transit network connecting downtown São Paulo, the Jundiaí Metropolitan Area and the Campinas Metropolitan Area. Scheduled to enter operation in 2031 upon completion, it will become Brazil’s fastest and most modern intercity railway.

FITSCO undertakes the supply, commissioning, testing, integrated joint commissioning, acceptance and trial operation support for the newly built ETCS-2+ATO signaling system serving Line 7, the TIC line and the TIM line. The company will deliver a fully self-developed ETCS+ATO signaling system, whose product portfolio includes train control centers, radio block centers, temporary speed restriction servers, on-board control equipment, data communication subsystems and other auxiliary devices.
