As a north-south backbone rapid transit route running through Dalian’s core urban area, Dalian Metro Line 5 stretches 24.484 kilometers with 18 stations and an initial fleet of 29 trains. The project has been put into revenue service in March 17th, 2023. It provides seamless interchange with Metro Lines 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 13, closely connecting scenic spots, dense residential quarters, bustling commercial districts and transport hubs along the route.
Dalian Metro Line 5 adopts the self-developed JeRail® CBTC signaling system from FITSCO. Built on a high-availability and high-reliability system architecture, the system supports the highest level of cross-line operation capability of interconnection between different manufacturers; With a number of signal intelligent operation and maintenance technology to achieve intelligent fault diagnosis. Based on the advantages of autonomous technology, the optimization of train mode switching can realize the automatic upgrade function without stopping and reduce the operating complexity of drivers.
