As the first full-automatic Metro Line based on cloud platform in Shanxi Province and northwest China. The total length of the line is 23.64km, with 23 stations, 24 trains,1 OCC, 1 Depot and 1 comprehensive maintenance center.

Equipped with the intelligent “Tech Brain” independently developed by FITSCO, Taiyuan Metro Line 2 stands as China’s first cloud-based fully automatic metro line. It supports a full suite of automated functions to match the operation requirements of fully automatic driving, including automatic train wake-up, self-inspection, automatic operation, automatic stabling and hibernation, working condition management, Fully Automatic Mode (FAM) / creeping mode, precise secondary platform alignment, door isolation alignment, and automatic train washing.

This project realizes an integrated dispatching control system based on cloud platform ATS and ISCS. A unified multi-disciplinary dispatching dashboard consolidates full-spectrum data covering train operation, equipment administration, power monitoring, disaster prevention, passenger flow and passenger service management. The integrated system greatly enhances cross-scenario coordinated supervision, centralized dispatching & command, and emergency fault response capabilities, significantly upgrading overall operational service quality.
To guarantee smooth commissioning and opening, the project team of FITSCO overcame numerous challenges with dedicated efforts. Adopting a strong matrix organizational structure, multiple teams carried out round-the-clock commissioning work.
Leveraging the strengths of its self-developed products, the company adopted parallel development of environmental simulation and design, and built multiple test environments to enable early laboratory verification. Fewer iterations of on-site software were released, which greatly improved software quality and test efficiency, and drastically shortened on-site commissioning cycles. The entire signaling system was delivered within just 15 months.

The project has been put into revenue service in December 26th, 2020. Its signaling system technology has been recognized as internationally leading, and was awarded the First Prize of the 2021 Urban Rail Transit Science and Technology Progress Award by China Urban Rail Transit Association.
